What can I use it for?

Can I watch from outside the house?

No. Both devices must be on the same WiFi. That is the privacy, not a missing feature.

Do I need an app?

No. It is a web page. Add it to your home screen if you like.

Is there a subscription?

No. 24 hours of streaming free, then $5 once.

Does the video go to the cloud?

No. It travels directly between your devices. Our server only introduces them.

Can I use an old phone?

Yes, if its browser is recent. iPhones need iOS 16.4 or later.

Will the screen go to sleep?

Tarsier keeps it awake where the browser allows. If it can’t, it tells you, and you can set the display timeout to Never.

Does it work on guest or public WiFi?

No. It is made for networks you trust.

What does Tarsier store?

If you buy, a one-way hash of your email. Never the video, never the sound.
